The nights are long and cold,

But we huddle close together,

And stories are told.

The world outside is quiet,

But there is beauty to behold.

The trees stand bare and silent,

Their branches stripped and old.

But inside our hearts,

The world is a canvas, ready to paint

For every day is a new beginning,

And I am grateful for the chance

We bundle up and take a stroll,

Breathing in the crisp, cold air,

Appreciating all the beauty, whole,

Embracing the winter's flair.
